Honda Happy

There are some things that you really have to have. As for me, I indulged in getting a motorcycle,not a fancy one. It's a small 100cc of bike called the Honda Wave. It's cool and it's the first time I ever am using a shifting bike,so I had trouble at first,but it's so darn awesome.I love it...can't wait to get my license.

Amici Di Don Bosco

I have been reading numerous blogs on food (so, I guess I'm a foodie), and I'm in a Yahoo Group called PINOYFRUGALCHOWHOUND, when I first heard about this small eatery along Arnaiz Avenue called Amici Di Don Bosco. Amici means 'friends' in Italian. I read so much about it and people were talking so much about it, so me and my friend Alona decided to drop by.

I was fortunate enough to get tips from another blog who I am an avid reader of. Be sure to check out http://www.marketmanila.com because that guy is totally awesome. He has great taste when it comes to food and food preparation. Imagine preparing tuyo ala elitista. Hard to fathom but he did make it really grand.

Anyway, we went to Amici Di Don Bosco and it was a flurry of activities. The location itself is setup like a school cafeteria, which reminded me of my days at UST Pay High School. If it's your first time, you would have no clue what to do. But me, being the sleuth that I am, researched on the place before I went there.I read somewhere that there are different counters where you order food. Pasta, pizza, panini and gelato are served at different counters.

Upon getting off the car, we were hit by the scent of Italian seasoning. That's when you know you aren't lost. We went up the steps of 'Amici' and was pleasantly surprised to see lots of people eating. Mostly upper-class citizens of Makati braving the rainy condition of that saturday afternoon.

Once you enter, on your immediate left would be the pasta counter. Alona and I grabbed a Lasagne al Forno and Canelloni Agni Spinaci,plus a huge bottle of Lipton Iced Tea. The lines were long and people were queueing to grab some food,but well worth it because the service is quick.

I also ordered some Four Seasons pizza with artichokes and olives. But the longest line was for the infamous Don Bosco gelato. As we sat down to enjoy our repast, it was quickly understood why 'Amici'had long lines for the gelato. It was simply sinfully good! The pizza was ordinary, the pasta was great,but the gelato was to die for!

Mine was Tobleron flavoured while Alona's was strawberry. For P35.00, it was more than worth it. I didn't take pics, but I brought homw the pasta menu which you can get here.

This place deserves another visit, and would definitely be part of my weekly eating adventure. Fast, affordable and absolutely yummy!

Dreams

Last night, I dreamt of my bestfriend who was killed last February 14.

I really loved him and treated him as a real brother.

The dream seemed to last only for seconds. We were on a jeepney, going through this highway. Everything was blurred, but I remember going through a factory of Ritz crackers, which was weird, but then again dreams are weird.

I suddenly saw his face clearly, and he was smiling at me. I forgot what he was saying, but I knew that he was saying goodbye. I knew this because I kept on saying: "Mag-iingat ka, mag-iingat ka..." (You take care, you take care).

I guess it really is time to say goodbye. I was not able to say goodbye to him properly....


On the night of February 14, 2006, Duke and I were supposed to have our yearly date. Every Valentine's day, we try to go out, even if we're not lovers.

We have been through so much together, we were in love once, but that turned into a different kind of love.

I was waiting for him and was wondering why he was not dropping by....minutes turned into hours.

I fell asleep waiting for him.

By morning, my cousin woke me up and told me that my bestfriend had died, with 2 gunshot wounds and 4 stab wounds, after getting into a fight with a long-time nemesis.

I asked my mom to go to the morgue to identify his body. From that point up to the time that he was buried, I didn't have the guts to visit him. I wanted to remember him as what he was in life, and not in death.

I guess he got tired of waiting for me to say goodbye.

I miss you Duke. I'm sorry.

Right now, he's a long way aways in Cotabato City, but we keep in touch regularly. He keeps me happy and sends little notes every. Calls me up at 2am to see if I'm ok. I love you bhe.



I can't believe that I have my baby Barry. He's everything that I never knew I wanted in a man. Strong, handsome, sweet and caring. He's a great provider and treats me like a queen. I wish we can always be together, but our work keeps us apart.

I think of my baby all of the time.

MUGGED!

My cellphone was almost snatched from me yesterday. I was so stupid to use my cellphone in a jeepney going to work at 4AM.

What was I thinking?

The mugger snatched the phone and I held on to it. He was about to stab my shoulder, but I pulled away, causing the cellphone to slip to the jeepney's seat.

I pushed the cellphone to the floor and fortunately, the jeepney driver revved up and sped away.

THANK YOU LORD!

I'm never ever gonna carry any valuables to work ever again.

A few days ago, I was utterly depressed, doomed to a life of perpetual grief. Suddenly, my luck changed.
When God closes a door...he opens another one. Hehehehehe.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. I went to work all gloomy and agitated. Thinking of ways to get away from it all.

My whole world was deteriorating.

I was supposed to go to Bora on the 17th of July with some friends from Sykes, but then, management called and said I'd be in training for 2 weeks. Which meant that I had to forgo with the trip. And to add insult to injury, my training room was supposed to be in a room called Boracay. (insert cynical laugh here.)

The irony of it all. And to make it worse, my beloved Tim and I were at the and of our ropes.

During the course of training, we were bombarded by a plethora of good news. And by good news, I mean MONEY. Moolah. Who would not rejoice?

And Tim and I? We settled for a truce for the time being. So all is well as of now.

When God gives, he delivers big-time.

So, soooo good.
