i'm here at work, there was a rally here to commemorate our freedom from martial law, which was in the 70's. my mom said it was a really dark time here in the philippines. no one was allowed to go out after 10pm. every shop store and what not stopped operations at that hour. violators were arrested and detained.
its a good thing we have our freedom now. i can go out as late as i want to (if only my schedule will allow). before, i used to go out a whole lot, every weekend me and my friend Kim go out to bars and party. I guess I already outgrew that.
We'd go out to those really cool places, where the cool kids hang out. Mostly children of politicians, stars, and rich people. Before, being with these people was important to me. Funny how much your priorities change in a matter of 3 years.
A lot of things happen within a blink of an eye. That's why I feel that its important to enjoy each living moment. As of now, I can't enjoy it myself. Being stuck at work and all. I guess what i enjoy right now is the comfort that I bring my family. I worry for them. I am happy when i see them carefree, and only worry about what to eat for lunch or dinner.
I guess when you grow older, everything changes. A lot of people wish they were kids again. I do not. I love to grow old and see how everything around you change. You feel that everyone and everythin change when in fact, its you who are changing. As well as, the change in your perspective in life.
