Career Move
I am now thinking of switching companies jsut for the fun of it.
My current one is getting boring, plus am floating as of now.
I think I'd be applying back at the old company and see what they can offer....

Cameron's Nipple
She popped her nipple in the Bahamas. She looks transgendered. Looking at her nowadays is kinda scary.

Is Overrated
Out of 1,000 guys on the internet, only one would be polite enough not to ask you about sex.
I mean, it's ridiculous.
Every guy who I talk to online could not help it but ask when was the last time I had sex or if I was impressed with what they have to offer.
Guys, please.
Men don't realize that chivalry and a bit of suspense is more appealing than being blunt about it. I mean, come on!
These days, romance seem to have vanished. Too fast, too soon.
Take for instance this guy I am talking to. His name is Hans and he says he is a call center honcho. All was well until he asked if my pussy was shaved.
It's like: "Working in the call center is such a challenge but rewarding nonetheless...by the way, is your pussy shaved?"
It puts you off men entirely.
When will they learn?

Prada On Screen
The Devil Wears Prada

Fresh from college, Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) comes to New York in hopes of being a journalist. Instead, she accepts a job as a personal assistant to the demanding Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), editor in chief of the fashion magazine Runway, who forces Andy to compromise her ideals if she ever wants to make it in publishing.
I was told this was a great film by my friend in the US. It's the type of movie that you can take your boyfriend or husband to without them feeling any pain. I'm sure this movie will be a big hit, reminiscent of the "Pretty Woman" phenomenon.

Manila is HOT
I was browsing Yahoo and came upon reviews of people from all over the world who have visited Manila.
Being Filipino, reading it made me smile.

You have to be Filipino to go around. If not you lose the beauty of the place. Foreigners are just blind to the charm of Manila. You just have to know how to get arouMisperceptions about Manila: Nice website. Crime is not rife in Manila compared with any large city in North America. In fact, violent personal crime is rare, especially for foreigners and strangers. I have lived here as an expat for 5 years. Far more terrorism in NY and DC than Manila. There are danger spots in the far south, but that is a 2hr. plane ride. I would walk in the worst Manila neighborhood at night before the best ones in NY, DC, or Chicago. The Philippines has been beaten up economically; please don't perpetuate distorted views based on paranoid State Department advisories. Ask people who know. Thanks. Tour Operator: n/a nd is all.
Poor Pinoy
I saw this post on Metro Blogging Manila
There is a truth to this.
"According to the United Nations Population Fund, the Philippines will remain poor unless we address our population growth. Following this argument, the church's stronghold in influencing the state is stopping reproductive health issues to be addressed by the government. The church is against condoms, pills and a multitude of family planning methods (except for the "natural" process) and most moves to curb population have been harshly criticized by the church. So, with these arguments, is it alright to surmise that Christianity is keeping the Philippines poor?
Alright, I agree that may have been harsh but the underlying problem here is that religion has a strong influence in the state. Whenever the government takes a stand that departs against the "natural" process that the church has approved, everyone from the CBCP to the Archdiocese of Manila will have a ready made draft ready to be announced at Sunday mass.
Going back to the source of the problem, how do you believe we should address the population issues that the UNPF wants us to address? Sweeping changes to the government policies seem to be the solution but how do you appease the church?"
There is a truth to this.

What can you do it you're stuck at work.
Perfect life.
If you think about it, celebrities do have the perfect life.
From a distance, Nicole Kidman seemed happy in her wedding with country music sensation Keith Urban, look at them!

Not only that, celebrities also have the perfect body, take for example music icon Janet Jackson, lost 60 pounds in 4 months. Like, that's impossible!!!

But then again, they are all ultra-rich. I mean, this is her a year ago:

Money. It buys you happiness...maybe...

So indulge me and RANK me!

Lazy Sunday
Okay, it's Sunday and I'm in front of my computer waiting for a date.
Actually, I have 3 dates tonight, just friendly chatter over food and alcohol, nothing special.
I went to DanasDirt.com and the gossip blog states that no one has seen Suri Cruise, Tom Cruise's and Katie Holmes' new daughter.
Come to think of it, she's right. No one has seen the baby, and the blog speculates that maybe the baby doesn't really exist! I'll try to look for updates on this.
On a sadder note, big-time TV producer Aaron Spelling, father of Beverly Hill 90210's Tori Spelling died today.
He produced mega-blockbuster shows such as Charmed, Dynasty & Charlie's Angels.
Apart from being ultra-rich, he also died at a ripe old age of 83.

And then some...
I suddenly find myself blogging full time. What with nothing to do at work and all, I decided to write about whatever is happening around me.
I was browsing through ABS-CBN's website and saw an alarming news! PLDT will be raising the prices for landline services. Well, I use Bayantel and they already increased their prices, albeit the gruesome customer service they give me. For the story on PLDT prices rising, click here.
I need to get a new camera and keyboard if I plan to do this blogging thing. This keyboard is ancient.

But I also bought a cool optical mouse (yay, updating stuff, aren't we?) and I took a picture of it on my cool PeopleSupport mouse pad.

Hooray. (if you did not get it, I was being sarcastic.)
A reason being that while the glorious call center Sykes gave out cool varsity bags for Chrsitmas, all we got was this lousy mouse pad. Well, who's complaining? Surprisingly, a lot.
Just got home from work.
As I mentioned earlier, all I did at work was blog my time away. After that, I spent a bit of time going home, first on the bus to the LRT station:

I forgot to take pics on the LRT train, due to the fact that I was reading this months's issue of YES! magazine. Cover would be Dina Bonnevie and Francine Prieto. And since my scanner died on me last month, you have to buy a copy to see for yourself.
After the LRT ride, I went on a jeepney, and ended up in front of my PC.

Jeepney Ride.
My Auntie Deaerst, Tita Edith arrived home from Texas last night. I heard she was at my Great Aunt's house just beside our house. I need to go there to see if I can haggle for some moolah.
See yah later oh blog my friend.

Woah...Drive-Through Starbucks
Unfortunately, it's only located in North Dakota USA.

bloggers galore
I am actually not doing anything at work right now, seriously. I mean, I get paid big and all but I don't really do anything.
I sit around my entire shift and browse through pages and pages of other people's blogs...here are some:
http://www.bryanboy.com

-memoirs of a multi-sexual 17-year-old gay boy who's absolutely fabulous. He knows it all, mostly dealing with fashion and people, as well as his exploits.
http://www.rossmathews.net/blog

- this infamous intern from Jay Leno's "The Tonight Show" actually blogs all the time. He is wacky and absolutely loveable. I watched this episode where he temped as a weather news anchor. Totally funny!
http://www.danasdirt.com

- if you're looking for the latest Hollywood insider gossip, this is the place to be. But I warn you, there's some Simpson sisters bashing, as well as, trash talk on some celebs.
For some good ol' Pinoy fun, there's
http://chona.blogspot.com

It's a journal of a life of a Filipina maid, who's a wannabe socialite. Unfortunately, it has not been updated in 2 years, but reading the past posts can leave you laughing till you fart! Guaranteed!
Oh well, that's how I spend my day. I was actually absent from work due to a flu and sore throat. I don't get inspired to blog when I'm at home, partly because I am LAZY.
I also colored my hair semi-blonde, which I am thinking of changing again into a deeper, richer brown.
I don't think its working, here's a pic with my friend Jayson:

It looks reddish here, but believe me, in daylight it looks blondish. Like Katie Couric blonde during the 90's:

Well, not exactly blonde, I know, but it's hard to explain.
I heard Nicole Kidman is getting married, going back to her Catholic roots. All I can say is, BRAVO! If Scientology makes you crazy weirdo like Tom Cruise

then I applaud Nicole Kidman.
Speaking of Tom Cruise, here he is rapping in Tokyo:

Also, Le Simpson is looking hot these days....lovely.

There's another article on OMG Blog that's completely hilarious... Jada Pinkett Transitioning:

OMG! She so definitely looks like a tranny!
See you next time!

Been a while since I last posted...
A lot of things has been happening. I can't write about em yet because it might pre-empt the circumstance. Oh well....
My great-aunt died yesterday.
I have to tell you that we are very closely-knit, our family is.
Another day, another death...oh well.
Andrew is in the US already.
Timmy is coming.
What else can I ask for?
More money.
Yikes.

Blogging, Love Life, and Tagaytay.
Have been a while since I last updated my Blog.
Work is consistent, and very constant, can't complain though. Getting mucho bucks. Love life...still the same. Timmy is still there. But I hope he comes home real soon. I miss him a lot.
I was in a play in highschool called 'Frustrations'. It was a play about a family, their life and struggles.
The one line I remember being said was 'When a woman reaches a certain age, she should not marry for love but for convenience...love, is for the young..'. Which I highly disagree with...
There should always be love in a relationship. Though I also believe that love is not what we assume it to be. To me, love is a mixture of sex, companionship, and trust.
Last April 8th, my friends Bon, Ginger, Macon and Archie, and I went to Tagaytay.
We went to Leslie's and had lunch there, then went to a smaller place to drink beer. It was fun being with old friends again. We talked about the past, present, and the future. I'll post pics once I get them.
It's funny how you grow older in a matter of days. You sleep and next time you wake up, you're 27 years old. That's my age on my birthday. Damn, am nearing 30 and am still doing the same stuff.
I want to be spontaneous...but can't do it. I have obligations. Here I am again complaining about being a bread-winner. Damn.
My family can't stand up for themselves. I should just stop providing for them so they learn how to do it for themselves. Grrr.... I am mad because if I stop providing for them, everyone will think of me as evil. DAMN.
Oh well, as soon as Tim gets back, am definitely gonna live separate from my family...let's see what happens...

Nagsimula Sa Barbecue, Paalam Rey
Magdamag kitang sinamahan.
Oo, nagkasama rin tayo ng matagal. Andami na nating pinagdaanan. Nagkahiwalay, pero bumabalik pa rin. Kasi, mahal natin ang isa't isa. Bilang magkaibigan, at halos magkadugo.
Ma-mi-miss ko yung kakulitan mo. Yung pakiramdam ko pag kasama kita. Alam mo yun. Di ko lang inaamin sayo. Sabi mo sakin nun na ang gaan ng pakiramdam mo pag kasama ako. Ako rin naman ganuon.
Kahit san man ako mapunta, kahit saan kaman madako, mahal pa rin kita Duke.
Paalam Duke, sanka man nanduon ngayon, mahal na mahal kita.

Too Damn Lazy
Been cooked up in my room by choice....
just got the DSL hooked up and nothing to do....always holed up in my own world of solitude.
Today I will be meeting up with Allan Alcalde, a guy I met on MySpace (i love that site).
Here's a pic of him:
Details will follow.

Gulong ng Palad...Wheel of Fortune, or Wheel of Life.
Funny how that cliche sneaks up on you. One day you're up, seconds later, you're in the dumps. Bu am lucky enough to withstand thepressure.

Radio Romance
Meeting guys is a great boredom buster. I have met quite a few after I broke up with my ex.
Breakin up is hard to do...so the song goes. Yeah, its very hard to go through it. It's tough.
I was on an FX taxi, cruising along the roads of Manila. The driver turned on the radio to this cheezy radio station. It was one of those 'Joe D' Mango' type shows. A caller was asking for some advice about her not being able to forget her boyfriend even if they have broken up 2 years ago.
He advised her to think something bad about the guy to help forget him...
Well, that won't work for me...I can't even think of one single thing that's bad about my ex. He's perfect.....actually he more than that. The fact that he does not seem to know how great he is adds to his charm.
Andrew is a great guy. he just needs to know that himself...
Heartbreaks are a part of life. That's what I actually live for. At least you have experienced something special.
The story of Antony and Cleopatra, Romeo and Juliet, Samson and Delilah...all tragic... but oh, how we love the romance.
For now, romance is all I am after, sans love.

Hooked on "Idol"
American Idol, a show that millions of people watch all over the world. It has everything...
Drama....
Comedy....
Suspense....
And you get mesmerized by the talent, and lack of talent of Americans.
If you look at it Filipinos and Americans have a lot in common. Watching "Idol" gives us a peek on what America really is. Its just like any other place. Full of talented people, and crazy people. Yes, crazy.
We'll see what happens...
Conflicts
Mars... the ultimate regalia of war and conflict, may have been the reason behind this salvo of drama in my life.
As I awoke from my diurnal slumber, an occurence produced by my night time billet, my cousin-in-law's wife entered the house with thespian flare. As if a goddess on Olympus, she announced her arrival.
Earlier, my mother told me about a small feud between my cousin-in-law and my own brother... something to do with the upkeep of our humble abode...
My eyebrows raised at the blasphemy of it. You see, I have been constantly reminding them of the horrid conditions of the house. I mean, their stuff strewn everywhere.
I am the bread winner. The least you can expect from all of them is a certain amount of respect.
As a result of their rivalry, an object of importance was put on the line. This object, which she gave to me as a house-warming present, was being pulled out of the house, due to the conflict between her and my sibling.
I have to admit that I was wrong when I declared out loud that she may take all that is hers and shove it up her ass. LOL... yeah I was wrong to say it out loud... but it felt sooo right!
Well, that started the high drama that played for an hour or so. I becoming quite brash and loud, she becoming even louder.
To make the story short, I asked them to pull their weight and do what is expected of them, even asking them to pitch in with the household utilities. To each his own.
I recognize my mistakes and admit them. I never scolded anyone, or asked too much from anyone. I guess people take these things for granted.
You ever wonder what makes life interesting. To me, conflicts such as what happened adds a little color into your life.
What astonishes me is that during bouts of household fury, I can step out of character and look into the situation, as if being the audience watching a horrible travesty. In that moment, you see things as being comical, with no sense at all.
The downside of living with family is that you can't say anything to anyone directly because you are afraid to hurt their feelings, but you tell it to anyone else who would want to hear anyway. The walls have ears and gossip and rumors run their cycle.
Until it reaches the person you are talking about. This is where war and conflicts are bred.

Oooops, I Did It Again!
Yes, i did another stupid thing... tried to contact my ex... and again, made me feel foolish. Well, life's like that. It's a good thing he did'nt say anything bad or sarcastic..well, maybe that's how I would like it see it.
There are times when you do something right, or nice, and the outcome ain't that favourable to you. Whatever you do, you can't seem to escape fate. Take for example Oedipus. A prophecy about him killing his own father and marrying his own mother came true. As a young man, he fled his town to stop this prophecy from being fulfilled. But he did it all unknowingly.
But my point, after all that inane babbling, is that I should be feeling guilty, but am not. The reason for this is, I have no idea why I am feeling guilty with breaking up with my ex.
Unlike Oedipus, it was only natural for him to feel guilty after finding out what he had done, which he had done unkowingly; I have no idea what I have done to deserve what I am going through right now.
I mean, I gave everything that I could have given, and then some...
...maybe that is the problem... I gave too much.
Oh well, c'est la vie.
A lot of things are going through my mind right now, about work and stuff, but I know it's not worth writing about. I don't want to be reminded of the bad things that goes through my life. If you notice, most of the stuff I write seems to revolve around one person. My Ex.
He's worth remembering.

This is sooooo true.
"I created my very own first breakup rule:
Destroy all pictures where he looks sexy and you look
happy.
Breakup rule No. 2: Until emotionally
stabilized, enter no stores.
Breakup rule No. 3:
Never stop thinking about him, even for a moment.
because that's the moment he'll appear.
And finally, the most important breakup rule:
No matter who broke your heart or how long it takes to heal,
you'll never get through it without your friends."
---Carrie Bradshaw, SEX AND THE CITY
Another dreadful week.
After the fun, comes the tragic moments. Thank God its not that tragic. Financially, my resources have dwindled due to some unfortunate circumstances......HAAAAYYYY naku!
Fortunately, I have other resources to rely on, thanks in part to Robie Jones. This guy helps me out a lot.

But, I had to do something drastic. Yes, I sold stuff, I wont mention what, but it soooo hurts me to part ways with them.....hay naku.
Just to get by. I mean, I'm the bread winner here. I don't want to be, but I have to. Its such a huge burden to bare. And no one seems to be helping out, or try to help out. I just wish all of their luck changes so I dont have to work for a while.
We just had our family reunion on the last day of 2005. It was fun, I won a mini-transistor radio that I get to use on my way to work. It helps to dispell the boredom that creeps up to you while travelling.
Travelling is one thing I hate. Actually, what I hate most about it is the way Philippine jeepneys annoy you. I hate the way they drive. It freaks me out when they speed all the way to Buendia, and you're left slightly gasping for life. Not to mention the hazards of getting mugged inside the jeepney. I was a victim once. And it gave me nightmares.
There are also the freakazoids that litter the metro. The spitters, the nose-blowers, the sleeper-come-snorers. The coughers, the snackers, and the dreaded smokers. Don't get me wrong, I mean, I am a smoker myself. But smoking in a crowded jeep with kids or old people beside is a no-no.
What will it take to get an ounce of respect from these people. Lack of education is not an excuse. All of us were born with a certain amount of respect for others. I think they just choose to not excercise that.
That's why I have taken the FX taxies lately. But it too can fall prey to muggers. That's also one reason I don't take my fancy cellphone anymore. I just take my Sun Cellphone on a 3210 Nokia...
Well, that's all for today. Here is a recent pic of me and my niece Jennika. That's my other niece Angie in the background, taken at our house.
Fortunately, I have other resources to rely on, thanks in part to Robie Jones. This guy helps me out a lot.
But, I had to do something drastic. Yes, I sold stuff, I wont mention what, but it soooo hurts me to part ways with them.....hay naku.
