Are we too old to grow up?

Ever wonder why you suddenly feel depressed without even knowing why? One of the reasons can be attributed to getting older.

Suddenly, the things that you used to love to do, turns out to be more exasperating and consumes you. People you are used to talking to suddenly seem so irritating. And the worst thing is, you can't enjoy the things you used to enjoy when you were younger.

I sometimes stop and think about what would my generation be like when we are at our 70's or 80's. Just like the photo above. Are we still on our computers and hand-held devices? Would we still go on rock concerts and play video games in malls? Would we still have sleep overs with alcohol to keep us amused? And the biggest question is, would we still be allowed to play even if we are older?

As you get older, things become more complicated. Bills, family, more bills, and a hell of a lot more of those young people who seem to get on your nerves. Universally, each generation seem to think that the generation after them are more stupid. In all honesty, I think there's some truth to it.

As time progresses, each generation seem to be less mindful of others. They tend to get ruder, more obnoxious, and uncaring. The younger you are, the more superficial you tend to be. I can attest to that. Am not that old, but I did learn how to appreciate people. These days, you're appreciated if you are in vogue. Forget it if you are smart or funny, or both. People would rather hang out with the most gorgeous friends, even if they're as stupid as a rock sitting on the curb.

Oh well, I guess I am getting old. Ranting like this.
